Nonokai is a brand I started to continue the family tradition of jewellery making. The brand focuses on men’s jewellery - a fusion of rough and gentle design achieving an impression of being casually incomplete while simultaneously being a unique piece of jewellery, impossible to recreate. The hardness of the metals is softened by the use of organic forms, and is clearly defined by hand craftsmanship and forgotten skills. Nature and its influences, imperfections which make a character, and nature’s unpredictability are always a source of inspiration. My goal is to communicate strong contrasts and opposites found in all of us by using both precious and non-precious metals in my noble quest to find beauty in everything.
